Akash designs, builds and maintains Online Camera, from the main online camera to the15 other tools on the site. The project is built with Astro and modern browser APIs such as getUserMedia, MediaRecorder and canvas, so everything runs on your own device.

What went into the site

• Live camera filters rendered on canvas and baked into photos and MP4 video.
• Real measurements in the webcam test: delivered FPS, brightness, sharpness and frozen-frame detection.
• On-device tools like the QR scanner, document scanner, GIF maker and background blur.
• Offline support, translations and a fast, accessible interface with keyboard shortcuts.
