How detection works
Several times a second, the tool shrinks the camera frame to a small grid and compares it with the previous one. Areas that changed light up in the overlay, and if enough of the picture changes, an event fires. The sensitivity slider decides how much change counts as motion: high for small movements close to the camera, low for busy scenes or flickering light.
Tips
- Mount the camera somewhere stable, as any wobble counts as motion.
- Avoid pointing it at windows, TVs or monitors, where changing light causes false alarms.
